Essential Question:  How can we promote the creative reuse of waste in our community?

Students explored the geographic importance of San Diego's coastlines and the issues impacting the environment and local wildlife.  Students connected this to the global problems created by waste such as the Great Pacific Garbage Patch. Based on these findings, students co-wrote and designed an original play to encourage the audience to consider what impact an individual's actions can make on these larger issues.  In "The Trash Show," students presented their researched facts through the narratives of characters facing the realities of environmental damage.
